General Operations Note:
All Passenger consists have time-table precedence over way freights. Way freights are to have the main line cleared for the arrival of passenger consists or as directed by Dispatcher.
Valley Flyer has precedence over local and express passenger consists, although time table would indicate that no conflicts should exist.
Train #15, the Express Daily
The Express Daily is scheduled to leave Black Canyon Yard no later than 12:00 pm (local noon). This train consists of the previous day's eastbound #16 Express Daily, with BCRR motive power and varnish. After clearance from Dispatch, all operations are ruled by the current time table.
The Express Daily has flag stops at Alpha (app. 12:10 pm) and Jonah Junction (app. 12:30 pm).
The Express Daily is scheduled to arrive at Obadiah no later than 1:00 pm, and leave no later than 1:15 pm. The Express Daily should use the inside track at Obadiah to avoid potential conflicts between passengers and freight operations.
The Express Daily's second scheduled stop is at Jeremiah. The way freights should have the main cleared for the Express Daily to bypass Jeremiah Industrial yard on it's way to the Station. Departure time is at the discretion of the engineer, while keeping in mind the requirements of the time table.
The Express Daily has a final stop at Isaiah. Freight and passenger operations are on opposite sides of this station; therefore there should be no conflict with freights. Express Daily should leave Isaiah no later than 2:45 pm to head for Exodus Yard.
Train #21, the Local Daily
The Local Daily is scheduled to leave Black Canyon Yard no later than 5:00 pm. This train consists of the previous day's eastbound #22 Express Daily, with BCRR motive power and varnish. After clearance from Dispatch, all operations are ruled by the current time table.
The Local Daily is scheduled to be at Alpha at 5:10 pm.
The Local Daily is scheduled to be at Jonah Junction at 5:30 pm.
The Local Daily is scheduled to leave Obadiah no later than 6:10 pm. The Local Daily should use the inside track at Obadiah to avoid potential conflicts between passengers and freight operations.
The Local Daily is scheduled to be at Jeremiah at 7:15 pm. The way freights should have the main cleared for the Local Daily to bypass Jeremiah Industrial yard on it's way to the Station.
The Local Daily has a final stop at Isaiah. Freight and passenger operations are on opposite sides of this station; therefore there should be no conflict with freights. Local Daily should leave Isaiah no later than 7:40 pm to head for Exodus Yard.
Train #55, the Valley Flyer
The Valley Flyer is scheduled to leave Black Canyon Yard (after arriving from Santa Fe controlled tracks) no later than 6:30 pm. After receiving clearance from the Dispatcher, all operations of the Flyer are ruled by the current time table.
The first westbound stop is at Obadiah. There is no set arrival time, however, the departure must be no later than 7:40 pm. Way freight operations will be clear of the main line, in accordance with time table operations. The Valley Flyer should use the inside track at the station to minimize conflict between passengers and concurrent freight operations.
Arrival time at Isaiah is scheduled for 8:10 pm with a ten minute layover, departing Isaiah no later than 8:20 pm. Since the passenger platform is on the opposite side of Isaiah station from the freight operations, no warning will be necessary prior to the Flyer's arrival.
Last stop on the Black Canyon railroad for the Valley Flyer is at Valentine station at 8:30 pm. After departing Valentine, the Flyer returns to Santa Fe trackage and is under the control of the Santa Fe dispatcher.
